Robot Vacuum Fight Club

Robot Vacuum Fight Club is an anarchic, fully-interactive gameshow that is exactly what it sounds like: teams customise robot vacuum cleaners and then have them face off in an arena in a series of knockout competitions that test speed, agility, suction power and ferocity.
This event sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024 and 2025, and the Brighton Fringe in 2025!

McGonagall Night

William “Topaz” McGonagall is famous (or perhaps infamous) for having compiled some of the very worst poems every to have existed – including his 1880 lament on the Tay Bridge Disaster.
With this event we celebrate the life and works of Scotland’s other poet through the medium of interactive big screen video games… along with dramatic readings of his works, and a toast to his historic ability to make art out of failure.

Ghost Hunter Academy

Do you have what it takes to be a ghost hunter? Find out with this two-part immersive event. In the first part you’ll learn about the history and science of paranormal investigation… and in the second you’ll conduct a live ghost hunt in a haunted location…
Ghost hunting can be a fun and fascinating way of exploring the atmosphere and history of a place whether or not you believe in ghosts. This talk and ghost hunt is designed to accommodate both believers and skeptics.

Postmodern Conversation Club

Postmodern Conversation Club is a surreal take on a classic conversation club concept. You’ll meet a bunch of new people for a series of short one-on-one conversations… each of which is facilitated by a different quest.
Your quests may involve discussing a particular topic, creating a piece of art, attempting a mind-reading technique, communicating via a revamped piece of 1990s technology, or almost anything else.

Experience the Ganzfeld Effect

The Ganzfeld Effect is the name given to the phenomena whereby almost anyone will experience visual and auditory hallucinations if looking at a uniform field of light and listening to white noise.
Our talk gives a thorough grounding in the history and science of the Ganzfeld Effect… and is then followed by an interactive demonstration where YOU can experience the effect for yourself.

Ghosted: A Valentine’s Gameshow

Ghosted is a fully interactive Valentine’s Day gameshow, where teams compete to win the heart of our beloved mascot Spooky Steve. Rounds involve arts and crafts, picnic arranging, a button-smashing go at Ghost Tinder, a driving test and several other ridiculous battles of skill, lyricism and dedication.
It’s a chaotic, team-based show which relies on a mix of big-screen games, creative challenges, and improvisation. And it culminates in a real wedding carried out by an ordained minister!

Awful 1970s Dinner Party Cuisine Cookery Class

Jellied salads. Spam and lima beans. Mayonnaise-based puddings. Glace cherries and pineapple rings. Why does dinner party cuisine from the 1970s seem quite so appalling by modern standards?
This class explores the social and cultural landscape of the 1970s through the medium of awful-looking dinner party recipes… which participants prepare, sample and take home with them!
