Gallery: World War II Cookery Class


While many people associate the years of the Second World War with rationing, it was also a time of great ingenuity in cooking. Hundreds of new recipes were invented, making use of what was available, and responding to shortages, the national mood, and changing trends. 

Many of these recipes have since been lost to history… but during this event we resurrected several forgotten foods from this pivotal era in the history of the world.
